Well you can’t buy a patent on body owned fluids.... but I think big pharma will find a way to kill it if it would become great.
Even spreading fake warnings that it would be dangerous can be part of this. I have seen that happen recently over here.

Yep I think big pharma will win. Yes you can't buy a patent on body owned fluids, but you could on the process or even the tools needed to administer the product.

And you are right they will spend huge amounts to spread fake news. It's been done recently with the baby moisturiser that's all over the British press which is a complete fabrication to promote sales.

Thanks Caroline for putting it in language I can understand  Thumb I hope they give it a large scale study to prove it works ( or doesn’t) but as Fred says there won’t be any profit for the large pharmaceutical companies and I can’t think who will fund the research. It will take government money to fund it then they will recoup that a thousandfold with the savings on drugs

Thanks Caroline, for trying to make sense of it. I'm really excited about this, but also fear that it won't suit the big pharma companies. Otherwise I'd be on the porch of the next dermatology hospital, in a sleeping bag, untill they accept me as a ginny pig!

Thanks for the info, Fred. Thanks also to Caroline the summary. I have read a few articles on the treatment: A few dramatic results, but not consistently good enough to challenge conventional therapies (i.e. one article about a five year study called for more studies). Still, if it can be found why it works so well in some it might change things. There is an article on autologous HSCT for relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (94% cured) on the BBC website, so this type of therapy is attracting attention.

Fingers crossed this kind of research doesn’t get squashed - it’s early days but they are obviously onto something!
