Starting Ciclosporine on Friday after dr checks my labs.  Has anyone on here tried it?  Side affects?  I am told kidney and high blood pressure are the most serious and are monitored closely.  This makes me nervous but at a point I have to do something. My hands are so bad I can hardly use them.  My feet are raw so I can barely walk... very painful.  The talz alone is not working.
Kinda new to this sight so also looking for advice on how to use it effectively.? Not sure if I am posting/ replying to the right thread or not

Good morning Snitters.

I was on Ciclosporine a few years ago and the side effects I had were nauseous and my stomach was like a washing machine spinning around and around.

Now, when I was taking it, it eased my psoriasis up to a point but in the end I was taken off it because it was making me feel ill and it was not doing my kidneys any good.

You say that your feet and hands are bad, have you tried raw coconut oil on your psoriasis Snitters ?

Give it a try, it’s brilliant stuff and it has natural heeling properties in too.

I hope you get better soon Snitters and we on here will support you.

Please try and keep your chin up  Bigarm

Thank you GB,
Yes I have tried coconut oil ( organic). Eucerin, Aquaphor, avocado, you name it.. I really hope this newcmed gives me some relief.. trying to keep chin up but it is getting harder all the time.  It is really limiting my ability to stay active and do common daily tasks.  I am a very active person that cants sit still for long so this is very challenging for me

Hi Snitter I haven't tried ciclosporine myself, but hope it works for you and gives you relief, it's understandable it is making your life a struggle ....good luck tomorrow let's hope it works and works fast, I wouldn't worry about the side effects as you will be closely monitored, and they will move you to something else if there's a problem

If you need help just shout and someone will get back to you

I've not used it, but will move these posts to a new thread as it's better suited as a new one. You can now just add your updates to this thread as you go.

Good luck I look forward to following your progress.

Fred.

*By the way if you need any help getting used to the forum just shout out someone will always help, or you can ask a Staff to guide you if you're still not sure.

Hi, I tried it but didn't get on with it personally - I had a weird thing where my hands were freezing all the time and felt like cold water was running over them! I'm guessing it must have been to do with my circulation. Also developed some aches and pains. But as always, it doesn't happen to everyone you may well get on just fine. Good luck with it, hope it works for you.

hi there,

never tried Ciclosporine, hope it works for you. Have you tried a small (A4 or A3 paper size) home UVB kit for your hands and feet?
