good post Caroline =]
I found a scientific study report from 2015 that is hard to read but sounds preliminary to this bioelectronic device. ArteMie was looking for user experiences for this device =] From the introduction: Unmanaged stress is also known to mediate the breakdown of other biological functions, such as those associated with the immune- and cardiovascular system. the report is about investigating the effects of transdermal electrical neurosignaling (TEN) method on sympathetic physiology under direct experimental conditions.
The report summaries;
Quote:In summary our observations demonstrate that, compared to sham, TEN signi cantly dampened basal sympathetic tone, signi cantly decreased tension and anxiety, and signi cantly suppressed the physiological and biochemical responses to acute stress induction.
It looks legit, submitted, peer reviewed and all. The term 'sham' I think refers to the placebo group in the study. Maybe Fred can post a link, but I'll leave that up to Fred. It's not an easy read.
Doesn't show ArteMie how to build one herself with an Arduino and a soldering iron either =]

That was quick. I'll have a look tomorrow.

There's a startup company raising money to stop the spread of incurable cancer with electric fields, so I think there's a lot of room to run with this technology. To succeed for psoriasis I think the parameters would need to be adjustable--otherwise it would be like a lot of medications that work great for a while than fail as the psoriasis gets "smarter", for lack of a better term.

My post duplicated and I'm not sure how to delete it, so I'll say more things. I'm sure a lot of the science behind using any sort of electric impulse is much different on a case to case basis. I still give anesthesia for ECT therapy, basically shocking and convulsing the brain out of depression, which still works better than most medicines for a select group of patients. If we're talking wavelengths instead of voltage, there's UVB, sunlight of course, infrared saunas (which help me somewhat), etc.

Hi Itit (that is ImtheIinteam abbreviated ),
It could very well be that radiation does something with our Psoriasis, at least it is clear that radiation does something with our body, like the UVB creating vitamin D in our skin. I have once described an experience of myself where a lot of radiation was involved, I have written it down in the post [post=1571].
And I now think, maybe it was th radiation that did the job, and not the drink.

I had a quick look, but like you say "It's not an easy read" and I didn't find any mention of Psoriasis so I don't think it's worth adding here.

Hi Fred. Maybe we should have a poll amongst members as to where you might stick the electrodes? Maybe you could put them in your merlot?

I think if I asked the question it may attract some rude remarks Bill.
