and it was really hot too, like 35 degrees Celsius, and it wasnt a new tube either, it was already a few months old anyway. im afraid to use it now, but ofcourse the psoriasis is flaring up right when i least need it, and it will be hell to wait till i can see a doctor.
anyone got any insight? would it be ok to use anyway? whats the worse that can happen?
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

I would have thought it would be fine as long as it hasn't been in direct sunlight for a long time. Also the recommendation is not to use after 1 year from opening so you should be ok there.

The worse that could happen is probably from using it long term as opposed to using it after being left in heat for 24 Hrs.

I'm not a professional and would recommend you ask a pharmacie or doctor to be sure, but personally I would use it.

Welcome to Psoriasis Club by the way.  Wave

Hi Hedgehog and  Welcome  to the club I'm sure you will get plenty of advice here ....as far as I am concerned I wouldn't hesitate to use it, I can't see it being a problem...the manufacturer says store between 15-30 degrees ...however as fred says we are all just sufferers and aren't medically trained ....but I can't see it causing any problems
They use the stuff in hot countries and I doubt if everyone keeps it within the temperatures on the package

You're welcome Smile

For future reference it's always a good idea to keep the tube in it's box if you don't do so already as it will help protect it from light.

i do keep it in its box, but after reading your thread about the differences between dovobet and dovonex ive discovered im using it all wrong.
i do refrigerate, but i live in a country were temp' can exceed 30, so maybe thats alright.
i do also use it on my genitals (all included) and in other skin "folds" as i have reverse psoriasis.
i have been using this awful "gel" for a good few years, which i believe is a bad idea for anything steroid related, but my doctor insists that for my case, its my best option.
im beginning to  wonder if maybe i dont need a new doctor...

Yes you do need a new doctor. You shouldn't be using it long term and certainly not on the genital area. NoNo

Have you seen a dermatologist? If not I would recommend you do as they are much better suited to treating you than a family doctor.

Yes I would get yourself a better one then as you are not being treated properly.

I'm not sure where on Earth you are Hedgehog ....but wherever you are you should only use the steroid creams/ ointments short term, depending how covered you are in psoriasis they should move you on to a systemic drug that won't cause you permanent skin damage....I used steroid creams for years and the skin on my legs is so thin it rips at the slightest knock ...so try to get off them and onto a sensible treatment ...I would push hard fir a change ....and ask why you have been allowed to use it for so long
