Hello - I took my 3rd does of Cosentyx on Wednesday and today (Sat) I am feeling sharp pains in both my upper arms, one worse than the other, when I grasp or suddenly move my arms.  I have read into this but I don't see this as a particular side effect.  If it continues I will ask my doctor about it on Monday, just curious if anyone else has experienced this with a biologic.

I've never experienced it with Coesntyx or any other Bio's come to that. And I don't know of it being a side effect.

So yes I would check with your doctor

Hello.  Today I took my fourth loading dose of Cosentyx (funny how you learn to talk the P language quickly).  My doctor doesnt think my aching arms have anything to do with Cosentyx, but he ordered a few more lab test just to look into it.  Aldosterase, ANA, CK, CRP along with the routine CBC and basic chemistries. P diagnoses is enough for now, please dont let there be anything else.

Im off to the beach for 7 days, the surf, vitamin D, healthy eating and the salty water will be so healing. Calm Healing Thoughts to everyone Heart

Have a great time on vacation , and yes the sea, and sun should work wonders. It's good to know  the aching isn't caused by the cosentyx

Let's hope it's just a blip and the holiday will put it right ..... I agree having Psoriasis is bad enough you don't need something else as well
Good luck and thanks for the update

Hello everyone. I took my 5th loading dose a couple of days ago.  This is the first dose than has come to my house.  I was so excited.  I also got a letter stating the program I am on and that Cosentyx will pay for 2 years of medicine, giving my insurance time to catch up.  (I live in the US so who knows what will happen here)  Seeing improvement, but my foot with the worst P is still cracking and during the night I want to scratch all the skin off. Back on the aquaphor and saran wrap  Confused because when it is dry it cracks so badly.  I am hoping the intense deep itching means there is healing going on.
I had a nice dose of vitamin Sea and D last week, so I am expecting good things!
Happy Healing everyone.

The healing process can sometimes make it itch. Try not to scratch it and rub plenty of virgin coconut oil on twice daily.

Thanks for the update Betsy, shame your feet are not healing yet . But as Fred says they might be itching more because they are healing.... do try the coconut oil ( a good quality virgin one) you could wrap that with cling wrap to keep it in place and to help stay moisturised

I'm glad cosentyx are funding the treatment while your insurance catches up. 2 years on free sounds a great deal

Happy healing to you Betsy  Thumb

Thank you fellas for the reply.  I had coconut oil someone had given me in a small squeeze bottle and I loved it.  Then I bought 2 kinds, both organic, but both have very strong smell.  Can you recommend a brand not so smelly?  I smelled like a macaroon.
