Dovobet Cleanup

Well here is a dilemma.  I just noticed that the foot rest portion of my off white leather lazy boy has become stained with my use of the Dovobet on my my lower legs.... How the blazes am I going to get that off?

Anyone got any suggestions?  

PS:  Sigh, another irritation or side effect from this scourge of a condition.

I'm not going to have any ideas for you I'm afraid. I'd recommend looking up the best way to clean leather specifically by what type of leather it is as there are different recommendations for different types.

Beeswax polish helps with leather.

Leather is just like our skin and needs nourishment to keep it in good condition so Dovobet is going to ruin your leather.

Get it clean with beeswax and put a towel or something similar that you can throw in your washing machine to lay on top.

No good suggestions from me I'm afraid but Kat and Fred seem to have the bases covered - I hope you find something that works (aside from getting a new lazyboy)  On the empathy front, I've a similar issue with our lovely, recently bought, high wool content deep pile lounge carpet.  In front of my favourite chair there is a flat bit, where my heels touch the floor,  that is slightly stained, flattened, and refuses to lift..... I'm blaming the various creams I've tried over the years - including dovobet/nex, salicilic acid and several emollients.  My better half reckons my feet are too heavy and need to go on a diet.

We (that's my better half  - Mrs. Kit - and me) have found that having me run a carpet shampooer over the affected area once or twice a month is beginning help as there are now definite signs of "carpet pile" recovery.... I know this doesn't help you with your specific issue - but I thought you'd appreciate knowing that you are not alone! Aside from that who the heck has a carpet shampooer anyway! Luckily, we do.

Insurance is your best resort if it won't come clean with elbow grease and gentle detergent. I have just ordered a new suite and taken out the insurance specific to the leather.

That said I thought lazy boys only came in black so you could live in it and not worry about the cleaning thereof!

Can't help with the leather staining, but Kit has a problem with flattened pile on his carpet, I have found that to lift the pile again,  put ice cubes on it and let them melt and it should lift the pile ... sometimes you need to do it more than once
