After a patch of psoriasis has faded, do the white patches that are sometimes left behind fade and disappear over time or do they generally stay?

I have very mild psoriasis and the patches I get are never very big and certainly not very thick yet I've been left with  2-3 small white circles on my arms where I've had psoriasis come and go. Will they disappear?

The odd thing is that I've had stubborn patches disappear after months and not leave any trace they were ever there but then, for example, I had a small patch appear on my right arm about 3 months ago, I applied Dovobet to it for about 3 days and it disappeared and never came back yet it has left a little white patch where it was.

They don't particularly bother me and are certainly preferable to a psoriasis patch but I was just wondering whether they tend to stick around or disappear eventually?

Thanks.

Some can take a long while to go and some will go quickly. I have found the ones that hang around the longest are the places it was worse or had been there longer. I still have a few pigment changes that can be seen and others have gone completely, but like you say its better than psoriasis.

Sunshine is your best friend if you do want to help them go.  Cool

I gave several white patches in my legs, they are not large but haven't faded
. I've been clear nearly 5 years now and the white spots don't show in the winter when my tan fades but as soon as I get a tan those spots don't go brown likebthe rest of my body

But I am not embarrassed by these as it is just normal skin without colour .......so in answer to your question I hope yours will fade but mine haven't.

I love seeing white patches, a sign that the psoriasis has gone from that area.
I find they do fade well, but better in the summer.
