Hi
I am a 46y/o guy I have had psoriasis most of my life.  In more recent years I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis as well.  I have moved from several messy creams, light treatment, pills, and Enbrel, Stelara, and Humira injections.  Most recently I have had an acute reaction to Humira after moving from bi-weekly injections to weekly injections.  The reaction started as an itchy rash on both arms and quick spread up my arms over my shoulders and into my trunk area.  My dermatologist has just taken me off Humira completely.  At this point I am waiting for the Humira to clear my system so I can start cosentyx in about a month.  I am hoping for better results with cosentyx.

Hello Marks  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I had problems with Humira too, but then there was only Stelara left for me to try. It's been good to me this past 6 years, but I should soon be moving onto Cosentyx.

It's getting good reviews by our members and it's also said to be good for psoriatic arthritis which is the main thing I would be looking for. Don't hesitate to start a thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis about your journey, it's a good way of keeping track of your progress and your input could help others.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Marks and a big  Welcome to the club it sounds as if you have been through the mill with the various treatments .....it's a shame that Humira has affected you badly ....it's strange how drugs different people.
I hope when you get your Cosentyx you get good results, as Fred has said a few of our members have had good experience with it.....

I hope you enjoy being a member of this unique club, where all members are sufferers or or families of sufferers, what we are about is sharing experience and supporting each other,

Fred has provided us with a great platform with a great amount of information on all treatments available and the latest news on the subject
We are all keen to keep the site safe and friendly, so you should never be bothered by spam or requests for donations .
I hope you enjoy being with us and encourage you to join in if you wish, and hope to see you in the off topic section if you want to meet others away from the disease

Welcome to the Clan Marks   Wave .
It will be interesting to see how you fair on Cosentyx. There are a couple of people reporting starting it so your input will be invaluable to those that follow. Hope to see you in the Off Topic area where some of our less sane inhabitants lurk. The bar is nearly always open (apart from when Jim is giving it a good mucking out)  Big Grin

Hey folks
Thanks for the warm welcome to the group. I think it will be helpful to learn from others experiences and share my own story.

I will keep my walk with costenyx documented.
