Following the "you get what you pay for" mind set, I think people are leery of FREE treatments. Plus, if the "cure" was a mixture of things and it did take off you'd have all sorts of problems with registrations and FDA regs. Basically I think you'd stand a chance of getting taken over quickly.

I think I'd want my own company. I'd say no to the 100 million buy out (and there would have to be clauses in the paperwork to prevent friend (or self) from being able to sell out control of the company so that wouldn't be a worry)

But... I really wouldn't want to deal with any of the above so I think I'd give the info to Caroline since she wouldn't be in it for the money and let her figure it all out. Big Grin

There is no question of what to do, take the money !!!!!
There is to much that I could do with the money ,just think of all the charities etc that you could help with that sort of money. It would come out anyway as no company would sit on that sort of product after paying that sort of money for it .

The only problem with that I have is that most charities have fat cats to feed. I have had first hand experience of charities using donations to give the directors better office comforts or even a better vehicle to drive around in so it looks impressive. Yes some charities do a good job, but it is the ones that get no recognition that do the work and not the fat cats sitting on their bums enjoying the free ride.

*That was a Fred statement and not one to be taken as a Psoriasis Club statement. I say this because I believe 90% of charities are nothing more than a money making opportunity and I base it on first hand experience.

Bugger, you beat me too it Fred with what you said..........The only problem with that I have is that most charities have fat cats to feed.

99% of charities with these fat cats award themselves disgusting amounts of donated money & claim expenses too.

I think the first i heard of this was when i was in northern ireland around 1990-91 time & some of the newspapers were saying there was some sort of meeting in London & nearly all the big wigs of these charities stayed in big posh expensive hotels.
From memory, the one charity boss whom didn't stay in a posh hotel, stayed in a cheap B & B (if you can call it cheap in london) was the Guide dogs for the Blind.

Guide dogs are the only ones i do donate too because of that & I can't think of anything worse than losing your sight.

The nspcc are funny, for every £1, only 10p goes to the children, the rest for 'administration'........yeah, right.

Usually I would say  off topic GB but as I know that you know what I know. A lot of people donate their hard earned cash to a charity or good cause in the good faith that those worthy will get the help, but in reality the ones that need the money hardly see any of it.

I have no problem with people who donate, but they really should look at the company finances before making their decision.

Fred thinks he better shut up now before he offends.

Good rant both you and Fred have a very good point they may be non profit but the executives pay themselves extremely well, I didn't realise how little got to where it was needed

I know we have charities leaving bags for our unwanted clothes... I won't put anything in them as most of them are collected by limited companies and the small print always says they donate up to £10 a ton to the charity .... Peanuts

Oh Jim you must not get me on these charity things. I will close in saying that I know by my own experience that a lot of genuine honest peoples money has been spent in places it shouldn't have been spent. Those people that donated a few quid to help would be guted to know that their £5 is propping up a bar or even a house. Yes a house, I know of a well known charity that paid new oak beams in a certain persons house. I know of scams involving selling on old office chairs cheap and getting new ones paid for by donations.

I was in haulage a long time and I've seen a lot I didn't like from charities, hence I no longer donate to any charity and will never promote them on Psoriasis Club.

Absolutely one answer.

Take the money and run. This is money that would never normally find its way to the area mentioned below. The greedy corprorate monsters would end up funding my wishes

The wish ?

My reason for this is the same as it would be if winning that sort of amount on the lottery. And that is, i dont need that much money, and my own dream of getting the BBC ( David Attenborough or Chris Packham will be requested to make the program ) to scour the UK for unsung angels who help wild animals out of the goodness of their hearts and nurse them back to health where possible

It would be a great series, and those unfunded saviours ( without fat cats at the top, naturally ) would benefit from the tax free charity i'd be setting up.

I would have course have to be disguised. I don't crave the limelight or crave a public pat on the back
