Hi all...I was originally diagnosed with RA but then that was changed to Psoriatic Arthritis.  I have been on most of the biologics with great results from Humira for 10 years until it just stopped working.  I also tried Otezla which was a huge failure and I still have stomach problems from that.  I am discouraged right now as it has been a very difficult season of pain, inflammation and skin issues.  I am very much a 'glass half full person' and an 'energizer bunny' but right now I feel sad, tired and worn down.  I have good support from my husband and family.  I am in my 60's with grandkids.

I saw a ND to help with other issues and she wants me to consider low dose naltrexone (sp?).  I am just learning about it.  My middle daughter, who has MS, has looked into LDN for that...I just recently learned about using it for PsA.

Thanks for being here.  I am sure you all know this can be a hard and lonely road.  I am grateful to have found you.

Hope, always...

Hi GigiBraun and  Welcome to the forum I hope we make you feel welcome here as we are all suffering the same disease and have struggled to find answers

It can be tiring having grandkids and you want to be there enjoying  them, but this disease can make it difficult

We are all happy to share experiences and share advice on what we are using and what is working for us, so browse through the various threads to see what others are finding successful

It's good to see you have a positive outlook on life it helps to be that way with this disease, so you have come to the right place for advice and encouragement, I hope you will enjoy being among us.

It's a shame Humira gave up on you, but there are other biologicals you could use such as Stelara, or the new kid on the block Cosentyx ... They are well worth a try

I wish you success in your quest for getting your life back again and hope we can assist in some small way
If you have any questions just shout and someone will jump in to help

Hello GigiBraun  Welcome to Psoriasis Club

You say you have tried most Bio's, have you tried Cosentyx ? It seems to be getting good reviews from some of our members and may be worth a try for you.

Yes it can be a lonely road, but now you have found us you will always have someone to lean on.

Regards.

Fred.

Welcome GigiBraun!

I'm glad you found us as this is a great support system as well as a great place to get information. Sorry to hear that Humira quit working for you and I hope you find a new treatment that works soon.

I see from reading your post that you are considering LDN Low dose naltrexone as a treatment a few of our members have posted about it. And I have read that it may be a good alternative to bio drugs. If you put low dose naltrexone in the search button above it will bring up any post with a mention of it
Again good luck
Jim
