I was statistically speaking. Some people see a greater reduction or worse. It's just a look at the big picture. What I was trying to say is you can try another medication, but it probably will not make much of difference.

Like Caroline, I have had a big pain reduction with DMF. What it offers has not been measured in a trial. My version of Jim's morning sore feet was to wake up with my feet sore to stand on. It would subside during the morning. A diffuse pain and no swelling. All I notice now aside from the spine is a couple of slightly stiff and tender fingers, but no noticeable swelling.

I've had exactly the same thing with the feet in the past, painful first time you put them down in the morning, also after having sat down for a little while. I told my GP it was stopping me exercising and she galvanised into action, I got infra red treatment and it worked thankfully.

Oops, I'm sorry Jim, thought I'd show you the sun shower. Big Grin

So the intermittent use of Fumaderm does not work for you, that really is a pity. Are you going to try different ways of intermittent use?
I am with you in the fact that you absolutely don't want to go back to MTX.
If you are high up to 6, you probably also planning for a blood test in a number of weeks.

Sorry was there a sun shower in the photograph I must have missed that

I'm not sure if I will try intermittent again just yet I want these little plaques to disappear before I try again

Next time I might stop for a weekend and try a higher dose on Monday and Tuesday perhaps....

I shall wait until the summer before I try again

I'm not on a high dose yet only 4 a day, but hoping to up it to 5 or 6 to see if it eases my aches, without investing in a sun shower Big Grin

I had a blood test today so will see what my levels are in a few days time, Thumb

There is no way I will go back on methotrexate it scares me every time I think of it
