The only reason I remember this is because when I was on this drug, my dermatologist made me sign papers that I wouldn't have un protected sex or drink alcohol during the period he stated.

I had wondered how that works as I know that a female on Acitretin is told not to become pregnant but I had not heard anything regarding males on acitretin.

My prescription had the label to avoid alcohol while taking which was no big deal for me.

Dermatologist says there isn't anything saying a male can't, but not worth finding out.

Nothing I eat or drink never has any effect on my P. Tried all the diets. You name it . In my experience my P is seasonal. Worse in winter.

I don't worry so much about drinking affecting psoriasis but I do worry about combining alcohol with medications. Some meds being worse than others. Plus even if someone here drinks on a particular med it doesn't mean it's safe for me to try it since we are all different.

I think it's a personal choice and a personal chance to take.

Very true Kat ... I never gave it a thought when I was on methotrexate, I had a drink with my dinner each evening... And odd ones other times I Was never told not to drink when on it which I now find rather scary, that was before I found this forum and read about no alcohol with methotrexate

I still have a drink each evening on current medication Fumaderm. As far as I can tell it hasn't affected me or the efficacy of the drug

I wouldn't condone drinking on medication as you say Kat different things affect different people in different ways

DMF and alcohol don't interact.
This apparently because of the way it works.
Over here my doctor said not to drink Red Wine because of the fact that in Red wine the residue of the grape skin is in it, which contains materials that can affect your psoriasis.
Still I don't see/feel effects with drinking wine of any kind.

The only thing with drinking is the influence it has on your liver. But that is not different from anybody else. So that is the reason I never drink much, two glasses at most.
