Hi guys.. If I haven't met you yet I'm Danny from England, I've had p for 16 years I'm about 60 percent covered and started aceterin 7 weeks ago,, 20 mg a day,, so far p is getting worse.. I was wandering if any of you have found that alcohol causes you to flare, I'm not sure, then again I do like a beer or two as I work in a brewery Tongue Tongue Tongue Look forward to hearing your feedback

I did give it up once for a couple of months and it made no difference to me. I know drink as and when I like and I have never noticed any difference with or without alcohol.

*I'll move this thread to Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics and change the heading to "Alcohol and psoriasis" as it will get noticed better.

Hi Danny, welcome to the forum Big Grin

I've never been a huge beer drinker, but I have heard that Barley can sometimes be a trigger. maybe switch to a double vodka next time and see if it makes a difference tong

Disclaimer: I do not encourage drinking Whistle

Alcohol has never affected my psoriasis. I enjoy a drink and although these days don't drink as much as I used to.
I haven't ever taken Acetretin and don't know what the recommendations are for drinking alcohol.

I quit drinking and find that when I do go away on vacation or hang out with the guys for a weekend of fun I do get flare ups. It makes it really hard to hide the from the wife when you come home and your back is all red. I think it's the day after day and your system isn't used to it or had time to clear out before you start again. One every once in a while has no effect.

Hi Centerfield and  Welcome  to the club. Thanks for joining the conversation and your experience proves there is no easy answer, apart from try it and see. ...    ( depending on your medication )

So you can't even have a few drinks with your buddies without the wife noticing  Big Grin

Hope to see more of you in the various topics, which you are more than welcome to join in. Or even start your own introduction in the introductions board link here Introductions

You shouldn't drink alcohol with that drug. Lots of problems and may interfere with it's ability to work.
