Yes it's a pain since they stopped making it .... I still have a couple of bottles left but I use it very sparingly...I hope as you say it will come back soon it kept my scalp clear I used it and didn't mind the tar smell.
We have a thread on here about polytar and this link will point you at the email the makers sent me RE: Coal Tar Shampoo to disappear

We still have TGell here in the states. About 15 USD a bottle. I buy the generic for 5 USD. Maybe you can import something similar from amazon or something.

I have no first hand experience with Polytar, but can vouch for TGel. Smells like sewer, but works if you are consistent. Just an alternative idea...

The smell is absolutely horrible. I vomited the first time. However I found the generic more tolerable. The cost of TGell is priced too high.

Have you tried Capasal which is coal tar/salicylic acid/coconut oil , does not smell as much by a long way and does not dry your scalp like I found with Polytar.I have found it really good and have used it for quite a few years now.

I was prescribed T-gel.

It had no effect on the scalp P at all.

Capasal, now there is another one i tried but alas, it did not work at all.

The ones i am using on my head at the moment are ...................

Dermax shampoo.

Etrivex.

Both of these are excellent at removing the scales & reducing the redness.

If you can get these from your GP, go for it ! Thumb
