I think that is Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% is a corticosteroid cream. I haven't used it myself I think you will find its just damping down the symptom of the disease and easing the itch

I would get yourself back on another bio drug as soon as they say Humira is out of your system.... You are unlikely to have another experience like that

I hope you can get sorted out soon

Psssst do you want Fred to turn your avatar over?  Big Grin

Hi Bobby, sorry for being late but I'm catching up on the posts after a very busy week.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience with Humira. As others have said, hang in there and find the treatment that works for you. There are a lot of choices.

Best wishes!

Hi all.
Bobby, I'm in the exact same boat as you. I was on Embrel for a good number of years. Worked the best for me. Kinda slacked off so my Dr and I decided to give Humira a try.  Been on it since the beginning of November. 100% regret it as I'm back to over 75% covered. Absolutely miserable. I've read quite a bit about it taking a few months to kick in but I didn't expect such a breakout of this magnitude.

I am gonna give baking soda baths a try and I just might see if I can switch back to Embrel. Does anyone have experience in switching from one bio to another? What was the result?

Thank you all. Glad I'm here.

Welcome Cayde! I'm not on biologics but many members here are so I'm sure you'll see some replies. Glad you found your way here. Smile

Yes I have switched many times and also stopped and restarted. As for the result, with me I had a reaction to Humira and Remicade and Enbrel just stopped working. I've now been on Stelara just over 5 years and it has given me my life back.

But we are all different and what works for one may not work for another.

Please feel free to start new threads with your questions if you wish, you may get more answers from a new thread but you are not obligated to do so.

Out of interest, Fred, how long can the biologics work for? All I can find is vitamin peddler standard drivel about how quickly the stuff works. It was at least better than my experience in looking up cancer immunotherapies, where topping the search were articles about how much money they would make investors.

Merry Christmas,

Bill

I'm not sure to be honest Bill. As far as I know you stay on them until they stop working and then move onto another one.

All in all I've been on bio's about 8 years, but as they are still a newish treatment I guess the answer is yet to be confirmed. Though I would imagine one treatment is never going to last for ever and as you know things can change almost overnight with us psoriasis people.
