Could i buy some from Asia, and use it in conjunction with the Fuma ?

Yes, I think basically you can. Bill has a thread that explains it all. It is called Bill's pure dimethylfumarate thread

I would just add, I don't think you should use Raw DMF and Fumaderm together.

It would be at a vastly reduced rate to what Bill uses, Fred.

Still not a good idea ?

Yes it's very cheap, but what I was meaning was don't use the two together in answer to your question "use it in conjunction with the Fuma ?" You shouldn't use both together as they are the same thing. Maybe Caroline, Bill, or Jim can give a better answer to what I was meaning.

As for "A good idea" That has to be up to you, I would suggest you read all of Bill's thread fully before deciding. And then you will need to look at doing your own monitoring of bloods, is that something you could do?

Bill's thread is excellent as he keeps it updated , but I don't think it's something that many people would try.

When i say vastly reduced rate Fred, i meant in mg's, not price.  Since i'm already on 6 x 120mg Fuma per day, i was thinking only a small amount on my corn flakes

I already have regular blood tests, every 4 weeks.  I've been having those for several years -  since MTX, Acitretin, Cyclo, and now Fuma

I agree Fred I certainly would not use or advise anyone on maximum dose of fumaderm to add to the dmf they are absorbing . I could be wrong but I think the ideas good but the reality is no one knows what effect it would have although I know with Caroline's medication you can increase quite a bit above the fumaderm dose .... But it doesn't have the added ingredients that fumaderm does

85 I'll wake up soon honest.

Re the bloods: If you treat yourself will they still monitor your bloods for you, or will you either have to pay or go Bill's way and do your own.

Imagine you take 3x Fumaderm and 4x 120 mg DMF.
I think that would be feasible.
They will still monitor your blood. And the increase can be done.

With my type of medication you can go far beyond the 6x.
12x can be easily done, I know several that use 8x

BUT. You must keep an eye on your blood, certainly in the beginning.

I'll get out and leave you to it now, you know my thoughts on doing that. If you're under a dermatologist and also go it alone, then that is wrong in my opinion. You're not only wasting their time, you're also flushing NHS money down the toilet.  NoNo

And what about if it all goes wrong ?

No I will stop.  Wave
