Today I start my acitretin journey too.....never used it before, in fact I've never taken anything orally before......but my back/front pretty much covered now... And well done on the pic front too Fingers, got me thinking I might start taking some too over the course of the treatment...

Now, alcohol I'm advised should be limited to one pint a day... (I don't drink everyday anyway) but does that mean i could have 2 or 3 at the weekend if I've not drank in the week? Does it work like that? Anyone know?

Hi Purplemusic!! I have just been to the Dermatologist! she said they don't re assess until 12 weeks and if it hasn't started to improve by then they will try biological drugs!!.... I think my Psoriasis has started to get flatter sohhopefully in another 6 weeks I will see real improvement!!... I hope this drug works for you!!  I have found it the one that causes me no side affects!!... I hope it is the same for you!!   good luck on your journey!
I will post another picture in a few weeks.

Hi Fingers,
I have been on it for about a year now and am completely clear. I had as much coverage as you do if not more. It is slow acting. You should see results within 12 weeks. Red will fade to white and then white slowly fades away. Drink lots of water.
Good luck!
Kelly

Hi Kelly!
I do think it is getting lighter in colour and goes clear when I rub coconut oil in!! it seems to itch less too! I will post another picture when 8 weeks is up!!!
I am glad you have had such great results... Fingers crossed it works for me also!
Best wishes!
Fingers.

Have faith. I thought the same. It is a very slow acting medication. 12 weeks you should see results. ?

I think it's only natural to be impatient there aren't any of us that want to wear the scales, so the sooner we are rid of them the better
But it's better to have a slow worker that will keep working long term ....and hopefully that will be the case with you and acetretin

@ Kelly another avatar picture ... Very nice Thumb
