I have been having a weird feeling that there's a piece of sticky tape stuck to my big toe, especially when walking. I looked it up (as you do!) and to my surprise I'm not alone in this. I keep coming across the word 'neuropathy' which sounds basically to do with nerves.

Do you guys think it could be connected with my pa (as yet confined to carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis) as I'm seeing the derm on Friday and I'm wondering whether to bring it up or if it's something to mention to the GP (not that she'll do anything..)

As you know I have a view on everything, but you have me beat here.
I have not heard of neuropathy ( nerve damage) being associated with PsA but it is certainly important to get it checked out with your GP as it is often associated with other conditions, but not as far as I know any autoimmune conditions

I'm sure others will know better than I do and may be able to advise better, but yes mention it when you visit your doctor...

Sorry can't help, though I would still mention it to your dermatologist as it's best to keep them in the loop.

This issue is common with severe AS; tends to occur with excessive inflammation . Note also this issue is common with other diseases such as Diabetes. A neurologist can test for this.

It might be hereditary too, I remember my grandad said he felt like he was walking on glass, and my mum says she's got numb patches on her feet. They can test me for diabetes, I am fat after all, but no other symptoms.
I will definitely mention it before going on Humira since I have read neuropathy can be a side effect..
