Yep found it, I have made a new post about it with a link to their website. RE: Self-injectable Methotrexate

For those that don't want to read all of it in summary after all the drama nothing to it. However!!!

GENUINELY DO NOT BE SCARED LIKE I WAS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!

I was so nervous thought I was going to throw up or something.

Started the day drove to hospital and arrived a few minutes late, full of trepidation and fear! The nurses were brilliant went through everything. Took Mrs Pingu so she could stab me if she felt like. Discussed all the treatment the syringes etc and how it should be more effective. I was given some sharps bins and told how what why and when.

Then it was time to stab myself in the thigh! I was sat there shaking for like an hour while we went through everything and now was my moment! Performance anxiety!!!!!!!!!!

Have a dry run with demo syringe.

Wash hands - OK

Check packaging that massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death comes, expiry date, dosage etc - OK
Take massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death out of box!!! - OK
Check dosage on massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death - OK
Check date on massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death - OK
Check colour of drugs in massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death - OK

Feel throat getting drier and shaking getting worse. Nurses ask if I am OK. Mrs Pingu saying something off in the distance scarcely audible.

Prepare to inject myself in the thigh - OK
Drop pants and sit down (2 nurses, consultant come for a look and Mrs Pingu all looking on) - OK
Rub alcohol wipe over target area - OK

Pull safety top off massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death - OK
Look at spear sized needle in massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death, looks like it would kill a pig easily - OK
Apply massive stabby dangerous drug dealing tool of death to leg and hold down - OK

Deep breath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Press plunger - OK

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Where's the pain, the stab, the scratch or prick.

Nothing at all walk in the park.

Remove syringe, swab area, put syringe in sharps box, wash hands leave!

Left with massive bag of 12 syringes, 2 sharps bins, travel sharps bin, travel card and certificate.

Why when they stab you do they say "You will feel a sharp scratch." What does a blunt one feel like?

If Mrs Pingu had her way I would probably look like a pin cushion and she would definitely like a bigger needle.

The worst part was where I was about to press the plunger and I could feel a scream or whelp or maybe even a whimper building inside me. As I felt nothing I had this residual yelp inside me with nowhere to go and nothing to do but stifle it!

Definitely an experience but absolutely painless. Only my pride was wounded as I was a jibbering shaking wreck!

Well it has been a little while since I updated so here we are.

Using the MTX injections hasn't had any negative impact on me and has helped clear some of the more stubborn areas. I still have like dry skin on my butt however it is more like dry skin than psoriatic lesions.

I am one of the fortunate ones in that I have had no ill effects on MTX.

There is a downside to the injections in that you do need a sharps box and as I work away a lot taking sharps home is weird, they also take up some space as the sharps box they gave me is the size of a waste paper bin and the syringes are individually packed and take up space as well. OK it's not like they need their own room but I have not got used to needles in the house yet.

Also there seems to be a policy that you can only return the full sharps box to where it came from! Good old NHS bureaucracy.

Injecting myself is now second nature and simply does not hurt at all. I have only injected into my manly muscular thighs and not my belly as I simply can't bring myself to do that.

All in all a positive experience so far.
