Hi everyone,

My partner and I have decided we'd like to try and conceieve so I've came off all my medications and at the moment I'm using pregnacare vitamins which include vitamin D and Biotin which I know have been helpful for some with their Psoriasis. I am also using Aloe Vera gel and Dermovate cream on my feet when they flare up badly. We recently suffered a miscarriage so this is the reason for getting all medications out of my system in case they played a part in it.

Any other recommendations, please let me know!

Brilliant thanks, I'll definitely have a look into the coconut oil. It's so hard to find a good balance of natural treatments that aren't companys completely bullshitting you! I once went to a chinese medicine shop and they told me they could give me all these amazing treaments and it would only cost me £200! Errr..No!

Thanks Fred where would I be without you Big Grin Hopefully it doesn't take too long to conceive again and the pregnancy clears me up. As if trying for a baby isn't stressful enough, adding auto immune conditions into the mix is just a totally different ball game.

I have pretty much gone to coconut oil as my "go to" for the mild flares I currently experience. It doesn't prevent them from occurring, but it helps soothe and lessens the itchiness and redness for me. I prefer it to the prescription topicals which do the same thing for me.

Good luck! Smile

Lots of good advice under natural treatments. Ck on the search button on this forum.

I too have hand and feet P. And I also use lavander hot wax treatments for hands and feet. A small spa for feet available to melt lavender oil wax an coat hands & feet at the drug store. After that ...Then rub Vic's, coconut oil , vasceline , on Hands and feet even aloe Vera straight from the succulent by breaking of a branchoff. Then a Baggie over feet and socks over night same with hands. Keep hands and feet out of water . Use special hand cleaners for them OTC and occlusion has help my hands and feet stay in remission for 4 years. The minute it starts begin occlusion over nite for several nites will stop the small capillary blood vessels from feeding the P. Works for me for years.

GOOD LUCK !

So I wanted to give an update on my progress so far.

Scalp - Scalp is quite bad, but using t-gel on it so hopefully that will go down soon
face - fine, not really been a problem since I was about 16, although around my nose gets very dry
Ears - seemed to have cleared up well
stomach & back - cleared up a lot over the past week or so
arms - not too bad, occasional bit of psoriasis, elbows are quite dry, but not cracking
hands -a few pustules appeared after coming off cyclosproine, but they have disappeared, but now just dry skin on palms (and slightly swollen from arthritis), knuckles have a little bit of redness, but nothing too extreme
genital area - quite red patches, but not itchy
legs - legs have a lot of tiny patches, but bearable
feet - I just need new feet to be honest, they are an absolute mess to the point where I've had to wear bandages, trainer socks, fluffy socks and tights over them today in order to be able to walk on them without pain.
