Hello all. Some here have asked that I start a thread and talk about my experience with Cosentyx. At this point I don't have a lot to say as I just started it this past Monday. The shot itself was the new skin activated pen and I felt nothing, so that is good news. The second dose was delivered yesterday to my house and I'll take it Monday. Not sure if it's wishful thinking but it does look like some plaque is going away. I'll keep everyone posted as I get more treatments

Thank you for starting this thread I'm sure we will all enjoy reading of your progress....it's good to hear that the injections are pain free  Thumb
I know it's very early to be seeing changes but I can assure you it's not unusual with Cosentyx, it is known to give fast releif if you see Jmcarlo post here RE: Tecfidera vs Fumaderm she was clear very fast. It would be great to think it will work as well for you . She was put on Cosentyx ( the post title is a bit misleading )
I look forward to reading your next post
Jim

Hi all. I took my second dose of cosentyx on Monday. I wish I had more news but it's still early in the process. There seems to be a little less plaque on my hands but overall I'm still waiting for some major changes. I'll keep you posted.

Hello Brad thank you for updating, can I ask how long is it between shots and do you start on a double dose like some others ?

Good morning Fred. It's not really a double dose but I get it at weeks 0 1 2 3 and 4. After that 5th dose it's once a month. So they power dose you the first month. I'm hoping to see some real improvement soon but I know it will take a while

I've been very lucky on all the medications I've been on there haven't been many side affects. I think my liver numbers went up a bit while I was on methotrexate but that was about it.

That is lucky and long may it continue, the worst thing about a lot of these drugs are the side effects. Methotrexate I don't know many that haven't had side effects with that. I hated the stuff I felt really sick for two days after taking them and almost gave up and was going to go back on the useless creams until I was offered my current treatment. I hope Cosentyx will be successful and side effect free for you
