Now I am mostly agreeing with Quest, just because of the the fact that psoriasis is an autoimmune disease. It will not go away.
I think the only cure is either in the future or is connected to resetting your whole immune system which is not an easy job.

On the other hand, I think it may be very well controllable. And if its controllable than it makes sense it has to do with food, or at least the substances we eat. The treatment of psoriasis with DMF is also accompanied by a diet, again a signal that somehow this matters.
It can very well be that the described approach (I hate lemons) very well is able to control psoriasis. At least I think I am going to consider to remove porc out of my food consumption and going to more salads. Anyway milk doesn't make any sense at all.

I keep hearing the phrase "detox" now I would like somebody to tell me what that means as there is no evidence that it even exists , there is a trend to blame certain foods for all sorts of problems which under certain circumstances does have a basis in fact but as a general thing seems to me not to be relevant. P will normally have remissions as a matter of course and as Fred indicated the placebo effect can also play a big part. Certain chemicals can effect the skin or even the body as a whole for good or bad and they only concession I can give to food having an effect is that maybe substances such as antibiotics or other chemicals used for "improving" are present in all types of food. P is related to other auto immune problems such as crones disease which is aggravated by food however I don't think that even after exhaustive tests that any concrete evidence exists though for P but again I am willing to concede that for some people a certain diet may be an advantage to have.

I've had reactions with milk but they became a lot milder with reduced disease. I still get a big shot of arthritis with preservative laden bread though. Never had a reaction from pork.

It seems to be a crazy treatment without evidence of efficacy. Maybe the psoriasis just got better?

Maybe I could take a hot bath for six weeks straight and cure myself? Surely this therapy would be easier?

Cheers,

Bill

I am a bit skeptical of your use of the word "cure". The medical profession doesn't offer a cure for psoriasis, only treatment. So either they are ignorant that there is a cure, or they are all so concerned with making the big bucks they don't want to acknowledge there is a cure. And, I do believe there are still doctors who would love to offer a cure.

I'm not saying this doesn't work, I'm a big believer that diet does impact our health. It can make some things better and other things worse, all depending on what we consume. Lemons are known to be very beneficial, but I also think you can have too much of beneficial foods as well. I'm always a bet skeptical when I hear of a diet or plan that says to eat a lot of "one thing" Lemons are also acidic, so are harmful to tooth enamel and can cause problems for those with acid reflux problems. Also, quoted from a health site "Excess vitamin C can cause diarrhea and kidney stones. Vitamin C can interfere with healing after angioplasty and raise blood sugar levels in diabetics. Cancer cells seem to collect concentrations of vitamin C, according to Medline Plus, and vitamin C can worsen blood-iron disorders, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and sickle cell disease. The vitamin can also interact and interfere with many herbs, medications and supplements" so if you're also getting Vitamin C from other sources, I think I would want to ensure I wasn't getting a Vit C overload.

So your method may indeed have worked for you, but as with all treatments, it may not be suitable for everyone.
