Hi Gilly,

You might want to be a bit more proactive with your specialist. You could ask about what treatment options you have and what treatment plan has been devised for you. Of course, I am one to say this having myself abandoned the Australian health system to self-medicate with an industrial chemical sourced from Shanghai which costs me about 40 cents per week. While I am pleased with my progress thus far, I am also disgusted with a system that denies access to effective and safe treatments. I guess that is what happens when a pack of w*****s are left to organise things.

Good luck.

Bill

And Gilly,

I think Bill is quite right. You have a difficult system as far as I can observe.

But Bill's treatment seems a bit cowboyisch approach, which in reality it certainly is not. In fact his personal treatment is the same as the regular one I am having over here on the other side of the world.
I have written a thread about it, you can find it here Dimethylfumarates and Psoriasis.

Cheers,
Caroline

I have been on Stelara for just over two years now and it's fantastic for my P but it does not work very well for the PsA ,I was on MTX for nine years and this worked well on the PsA but I only had 80% clearance for the P with many many side effects.
