Hi, my name is Gilly and I live in Australia.  I'm looking forward to making some friends on here, trying some new treatments and sharing ideas. For 3 years I have seriously thought about poking myself in the eye with a pointy stick  Tongue  just to take my mind off my skin but here I am all body accessories still intact joining a forum hoping to find "my cure"

Well Gilly im glad you found your way here before damaging your eyesight  Rolleyes first let me say a big  Welcome
Finding your way here from Oz.... You will find us a happy bunch of psoriasis sufferers , generally happy to share our experience of this unpleasant disease If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask  Confused although saying that there is a big time difference between you and a lot of us in Europe and the UK and of course our American members... There is usually some one lurking but if you don't get immediate answers just look at the world clock and see that we and  America are a long way behind you... We do though have a few  Australian members as well .

This site is packed with useful up to the minute information and is free from outside influences just a small group of sufferers sharing information

i hope you will find a lot of useful information here if you get lost just shout out someone will jump in to help. You will be made very welcome in the members section in off topic where we meet and talk about ..... Well just about anything

Now you have joined you are among friends we have all gone through much the same experience and understand...... So you need never feel alone just join in the fun on here and enjoy learning from others experience ......and would love to know more about how you have coped with psoriasis ...and avoided the sharp pointy stick
Thanks for joining
Jim

Welcome Gilly!

I was happy to find this place as well. Lots of good information and a great bunch of people. There's lots of good conversations here, regarding treatments, ideas, and just general chat at times.

Hello Gilly,

Welcome to the psoriasisclub forum.

Lots of stuff to read and discuss over here.

Nice to see another antipode on the board, for my idea you are walking upside down  Wink
From this you can read that there is someone else from Australia is on the board, our own local forum physician. We will introduce him later to you, or maybe he will do that himself.

It is quite possible that you will find amongst the large possibilities over here a possible treatment that can help you forward again.

Do feel at home, we are all nice people over here. There are even a few sensible ones on the forum Wink

Caroline.

Thank you all so much for a very warm welcome,Jim Kat & Caroline.... Phew!  I think I'm onto a winner and have won the door prize finding you all!
I work full time in Aged Care and have also cornered the market in being a bad sleeper so popping in here when the top side ( thanks Caroline  Smile ) of the world is awake there's a good chance of me joining you with a hot Milo.  I feel a little warm and fuzzy about the US, on one of my trips there I discovered I had contact dermatitis, by a Registered Nurse/Doctor in a pharmacy in Las Vegas  Blush  and the UK is next on my list for a holiday to meet my parents families.  So thank you and I hope I can also be a giver on the forums, I have trialled/tested/used/rubbed/washed/peeled and eaten many things looking for an improvement, (some I'm still trying to forget about Smile
I'm open to suggestions and hope to make lots of new friends. Gilly

The good part about message boards is that the time difference doesn't overly matter. I may miss catching people online at times, but the posts are still sitting here waiting to be read. Smile

Welcome to the forum, it's great on here as 90% of the inmates are half crazy ,the other 10% are crazy and that's GB . We all know what P is like and can share sympathy with each other as we are all speaking from experience . I am sure that you will be able to get loads of info on here and if you want to know anything just shout as Fred knows more about P and PsA than most of the consultants I have came across.
