I take it that you mean approved for you as a patient as it was approved for Psoriatic Arthritis October 2013 in the USA, and as far as I know you will be our first member on it so look forward to following your progress.

You are correct; approved for me. I know that this is huge risk but because of all the issues I had with TNFs. But my butt is swollen from where the the v in back to where the sun don't shine. My hands are bad as well. We talked about MTX, but because my symptoms are primarily axial he agreed that it is pointless.

It seems you and Fred are both struggling Mataribot and Cimzia has had good results in lengthy trials
Yes there have been adverse effects in a percentage of the patients, as with most of the biological drugs but I think you will be looking out for telltale signs of infections and be closely monitored by your doctor I hope you get started on it soon and it kicks in quickly, as it must be painful to have swelling around your butt like that Good luck I really hope it works for you

Yes it may be a risk Matari but it cant get much worse and as long as you keep an eye on things you should be fine, plus the maintenance dose of Cimzia for adult patients with psoriatic arthritis is 200 mg every 2 weeks so you could soon stop it whereas with Stelara it's every three months.
Like Jim said let's hope it works.

When you say damage you mean cost im thinking ( I have to be careful as I interpret things wrong Let's hope it won't cripple you financially. And it will work for you Good luck

I think you're our first member using Cimzia, so please do keep this thread updated as it will help others. I've changed the heading of this thread to "Starting Cimzia" as it will help others find it easier, I hope that's ok with you. Good luck, and I look forward to your reports. Fred.

I want to say a bunch of colorful words; but Fred probably wouldn't like it. CVS says they haven't received a hard copy of the prescription. Bogus...
