How good is Fumaderm for psoriatic arthritis

Is Fumaderm any good for psoriatic arthritis ?

Caroline mentions in her thread Dimethylfumarates and Psoriasis that it can have a positive effect and I know she has psoriatic arthritis, I also know Fumaderm is a DMF but that's about all I've been able to find and she is using Psorinovo.

I've been reading through some threads about Fumaderm and I may be missing it, but does anyone have experience of using Fumaderm for psoriatic arthritis. ?

No not me and I think I mentioned it somewhere that it's approved for plaque psoriasis but not Psoratic arthritis in the UK, I don't know why that is as it's the same working substance as Psorinovo which Caroline uses with a few useless additives and the same as Bill uses for his arthritic psoriasis
Myself being lucky enough not to have that problem can't really comment more

Yes I've already seen them Jim, I didn't know Bill had psoriatic arthritis maybe he will be able to help.

But it's still not Fumaderm, and I cant seem to find anything about Fumaderm being used for psoriatic arthritis. I'm thinking if I can go on the trial here in France I may give it a go, but I want to get my movement back and I'm not so fussed at the moment about my skin.

Hopefully more members will start using the new addition to profiles, or we need an easy way of finding those that could answer.

Thank you Jim, no the list wouldn't help if they don't have psoriatic arthritis.  

But on a side note did you make up the list by going through profiles? I couldn't figure out an easy way of searching for members using Fumaderm that have psoriatic arthritis, this could be something we could look into so others can find each other easier.

No it's from memory I have my list in my head but can soon put it on paper and yes it would be a useful list to have ... I think it's worth considering .. We could discuss this later

No of course not.

Fumaderm is approved for plaque psoriasis. It contains DMF.
DMF works for all types of psoriasis, you name it, it works (70% chance of course) .
Do you really think that your PsA would not benefit, because it reads that fumaderm is not approved for it????

Of course PsA doesn't care what the sign reads. It can't read

Even Tecfidera will work, although it is only approved for MS.
But of course this is a terrible expensive solution.


The other way around, any form of DMF will also work against MS. Bill's solution is also used by some people with MS.
