Day 14

I am getting used to the painful stomach pains now and try to catch it with peppermint tea which seems to help loads. The flushing doesn't seem as bad either at present. I start with 3 tablets tomorrow so will have to come back and say if I notice any change in symptoms.

As far as the psoriasis is concerned, I know it's early days as yet, but it doesn't seem to be producing as much scaling, which in the harsh winter weather means it's not going to crack and be sore which is a bonus. As I have it bad on the tops of my hands these are prone to being sore winter time. I am looking forward to next summer when I might actually be able to be proud of my skin, something I haven't be able to do for years.

Thank you for updating Cheryl, have you tried Coconut Oil for your hands? I'm a big fan and it may help.

You keep at it and I'm sure you will be proud of your skin again, it may take longer to get the pigment change sorted but once you feel more confident with less flakes and get out in the sun you will soon be buzzing.

off them in 2011.for me they were a life changer so as Jim said stick with them.
trust me the stomach cramps will stop.

And you are right Fumaderm is well worth sticking with as it is a life changer for the better
You say you stopped using it in 2011.....what are you using currently? And why did you stop?

the Doctors were trying to get me off them due to cut backs ( money ) but I kept refusing. in 2011 I came down with shingles so they told me to stop until they cleared up.after they cleared I thought maybe it was time for a break and to see how it went.until about 6 months ago I was still 100% clear then it started to come back slowly. currently not on anything.but that's another story.

I was about 12 when it started now 59.apart from when it first started have been under the same specialist most of that time.tried everything he had in his locker creams puva drugs more puva. in 2002 he told me about Prof Barker at Guys hospital who was trialling Fumaderm and that he, if I was up for it, would send me to London to see him.thats when my life changed for the better of course so every 3 months for the next 9 years I would take a day off work and go up to London.

Well that was a big mistake! As it was my daughters birthday today, went out for a meal this evening, as I forgot to take my tablet with my drink whilst eating, I took it a while after food with a couple of sips of lemonade...... Big mistake! Now I know why people suggest drinking lots of water with it. Massive stomach upset and the face prickling hasn't stopped yet.

They do say you learn from your mistakes-I sure will.

Day 20

Things are becoming better in the flushing department, but the stomach hasn't settled as yet. Wasn't able to take 3 tablets today as I couldnt eat my lunch due to the stomach cramps. I am hoping that it might just be a bug and not the tablets as really want to keep on with them.

Psoriasis is feeling loads better. I have noticed a change in my elbows and hands. It is not scaling at all now! Excited is not the word for it.

Here's hoping things settle down.

Cheryl that is great news that the psoriasis is moving .... The stomach cramps should get less as time goes on .... I'm glad it's getting you excited... Things will get better and better
