Welcome Nishan,
My father had it. His parents did not. Not sure about his grandparents. I was just diagnosed at age 50 with it and my 49 year old brother has has a very small patch that comes and goes over the years. No testing that I am aware of and my understanding is that there may be a genetic predisposition but I really am not sure I believe this is hereditary as much as stress related. I also agree with Jim and the others who have replied. Enjoy your girl.
