I am new to the club and new to bogging.I am eager to learn more about the successes of others. I do have monthly injections for the pain but I don't know if this can be long term.

I am new to the forum. Psoriasis has been a large part of my life for many years. I have given up on the regular use of prescription topical creams. I am interested in how others cope and hopefully learn more.

Hi Sim and a big Welcome to the club. I see from your bio that you have been a sufferer of psoriasis and probably PSA for several years......
There are many good natural treatments described on here in the Health Boards, and whilst I can't help with the answers. If you trawl through the natural treatments you will find a great variety of things that work for others, and may work for you.
The drug I am on is not available in your country so I shan't bore you about that,
You say you are having injections for the arthritis, are they just pain killers or biologicals that will also help your psoriasis see this post
Biological Treatments For Psoriasis
There should be some interesting reading for you.

Are you seeing a dermatologist? If not I would ask your doctor to get you referred

Hi. Thank you. Yes I have been using Simponi. It has changed my life amazingly in regard to my PsA. With my first flare up. I couldn't use my hands in the morning so pulling up the bed clothes was even difficult so I am very grateful for having the opportunity to be given this treatment. My psoriasis has changed but not disappeared. SLM

Hi SLM what good news that you are seeing improvements, it's life changing when you find a treatment that works.....unfortunately psoriasis never goes away even if you are clear it's always with you in your mind Thumbs55

As you're now using Simponi (golimumab) it would be great if you started a new thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis and kept it updated, obviously you don't have to but it does help others who are reading and a lot of members do run their own thread about their treatment.

Also with Simponi (golimumab) being still a new bio it would be very interesting reading your progress.

Regards.

Fred.
