Not at all, John. The amount I take poses no risk and by donating blood I will be able to keep an eye on my blood iron. To harm myself I would have to take a gram a day for several months. Wont happen.

Cheers

I think it is very funny that you just can buy piles of the stuff in a hardware store for a low price, while in a drugstore you pay lots for it and only for a limited set of pills. Really amazing. Big Grin

Thank you Caroline. For things you inject there is no question of having very high purity, but the digestive tract has a greater tolerance. That being said, it is quite simple for me to remove over 90% of the impurities in the dimethyl fumarate that I have. It would be interesting to see if a higher purity product is noticeably different.

What kind of impurities are in your DMF, Bill?
Indeed if the digestive tract can cope with it, it is sufficient.

The stuff I am using has 99% purity. About half the impurity is water, so per dose there would be around 4mg of non-water impurities. The main one would be dimethyl maleate, which is pretty noxious. However, the ld50 in rats is 1410mg/kg, so I am not terribly worried. Still, it might be doing something, so it might be worthwhile making a bit of high purity stuff to test.

Love reading your posts Bill. I still think you're nuts, but at least you do keep coming back and updating.

Fred! My self-treatment looks so wrong but works so well. Look at all the members here under expert care and the problems they have. I have no justification to do otherwise, and at least I have excellent support from my GP.

Cheers

You are absolutely right Bill. (And a very serious guy) And you know I am standing fully behind you.
Your DMF story is the big example I often use as an example for others on how cheap and easy it can be fighting Psoriasis with DMF,
One question I got from a small pharmacist (the Psorinovo producer) is, that how is it possible for you to work with this very irritating material. They themselves have a production facility where the person working in it is wearing some kind of astronauts high pressure costume.

I only handle the dimethyl fumarate for a very short time, Caroline; on the palm of my hand for a bit over a minute each week. No irritation or visible change is evident. There might be a difference related to particle size: In my experience a smaller particle size causes more gastric upset.
