Hello,
Introducing myself to the forum. I was diagnosed with eczema and psoriasis in September 2013. Pustular, scalp and inverse, which quickly graduated to erythrodermic! ( such an over achiever I am!)

Anyway, topicals don't seem to be helpful, currently on MTX (6 doses in) seeing relief of the EP, but skin is still covered about 80% with pustular.

Hi Maryland gal and a big to the forum. You will find you have come to the right place where you can get advice and support from fellow sufferers
Spend some time in the natural treatments and prescribed treatment sections then when you are ready venture into the off topic section where you can find some light relief.
I'm sorry you haven't had any success with your treatment but hopefully as time goes on it will start to have a positive effect.

Nice to meet you too, Methotrexate can take a while to get going so lets hope you come back soon and tell us about an improvement.

Like Jim said have a look through what others are posting and join in, if you hit the Search button and put in methotrexate you will find a lot of results which may help.

He also mentioned the [Group Specific] board, it's a great place to go if you just want to get away from psoriasis for a while but know you are still with others who understand.

Oh forgot to mention you will notice I'm the only sensible one in Off Topic.

Hi great to see you back and you are finding good info on here, in your first post you said the psoriasis was proving slow to clear you are now a further 2 weeks on it would be nice to hear if your psoriasis shows any improvement.

Just a brief update. MTX really didn't help and now that labs indicate my liver doesn't like the MTX, I am being weaned off, in order to try Humira. Also had the side effect of clogged sinuses, sores inside nostrils, and ulcers on tongue. Lovely visual, eh?

Been trying a lot of OTC topicals, salts, etx, to try to abate the severe itching.

This journey is starting to bring me down........
