Hello Wizard,

Yes it is known that very harsh diets can deal with psoriasis. This points a little to the fact that psoriasis has a relation to the cells, I have mentioned that in a tread of mine.
Somewhere in the world there is a guy named Charley, who did beat his psoriasis with a diet.

I myself am not strong enough to follow that. Blush So I have very much admiration for what you did.

HI everyone..
It seems everyone who has tried diets respond differently and everyone reacts differently to meds. Food has never changed my P.

Then tried DEMARDs all made me sick. So now waiting to try biologic drugs. We all have had our experiences to share for sure. I have never had any change in my psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis by diet. I have controlled imy psoriasis and fortunate to keep it in remission using occlusion since a child. Psoriatic arthritis is another challenge altogether.

This immune disease has many scientific clinical trials that have shown that the IL-17 or IL-23 and many other pathways thru the immune system causes P. Many bio drugs shut down these pathways.

Who knows what sets P. off in the first place. Hereditary...in my family... Other's not necessarily. We all have it and it comforting to know we can share our stories. There is a lot more clinical studies on this disease than ever before. That's the good news for us all.
...
Needless to say every new bio drug helps clear PA OR P. at first until the body makes antibodies against it...then P. comes back. So we manage the best we can. Stay informed, stay positive, use what works for us and enjoy life .This immune disease never has stopped me from doing things I enjoy. Maybe takes me longer and I have pride in what I can accomplish and put off what I cannot. It's adjusting to my limitations and accepting that things change.

Happy New Year.....EVERYBODY !!!!

Agreed.

One size does NOT fit all. This is a complex condition and not just a cosmetic (albeit painful) skin issue as was once thought by the medical establishment. I hope the biologics work for you.

Happy New Year
