Millions of Americans use un regulated medications, they are called generics. Many people have people have had reactions to these drugs, but are supreme court said cheap drugs are worth more to the country than lives.
If you want cheap drugs go after the patent laws that are abused. Better yet, why doesn't government research their own drugs for chronic conditions. I tell you why, government is completely inefficient (and broke) and it would cost millions more that what would be spent by a private company.
I am not a person who likes regulations, but safety should be priority one with medications. Certainly, regulations add to the cost and can be abused, but with common sense we can keep drugs relatively cheap and safe.
I'm not liberal, but just argued a liberal cause.
