Hello Angus to Psoriasis Club.
They do say it lurks around in our genes just waiting. However no one in my family has ever had it, and my mothers side of the family is huge. But it's not the end of the world, you have now found us which will help. And there are lots of different things both natural and prescribed that can help. Have a look through some of the threads and see what others are trying, but I would recommend you tell your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist. Regards. Fred.

Yes a lot has changed even in the past 5 years. If your GP says no, then demand to see one. You have the right and it's your body.
Please keep us informed of your progress as it could help others.

Hi Gus
my fathers had psoriasis too (mainly on his elbows and knees). I remember the heady smell of coal tar in the mornings. Personally I use coconut oil ( and hope I don't get pecked to death by a swarm of hungry birds).
