Really itchy

Hi I was just wondering how people cope with constant itchiness. I have had Psoriasis for 35 years on and off. But after having a clear spell of about 4 years. It has come back with avengance and I am struggling to cope with the itchiness all the time and i'm being really good putting on my creams but to no relief.

You could try A bag of frozen peas or ice for instant relief.

yes ice does help. i use one of those ice pack things wrapped in a tea towel.

For horrendous days when I can't stop itching I find that anti-histamines (prescription strength not OTC) and calamine lotion help.

A good moisturising routine also helps to reduce the flakiness and itching as does wearing natural fibre clothes in the warm weather..... I'm very fond of linen trousers and cotton tops.

Didn't know it was still available this was great when I had chicken pox.

I've found Bamboo socks great.

I apply Jojoba oil on the skin after I shower in the mornings; it keeps the skin moist for hours. I also re-apply during the evenings.
