Newsletter Subscription

Following a request from a member to be able to unsubscribe from the monthly newsletter but still receive emails about new threads, I have changed the subscription so you now have to opt-in to get a monthly copy sent to you via email.

Before this all members were subscribed to the newsletter by default, and to stop receiving it you had to uncheck the box "Receive emails from the Administrators" in your User CP (Control Panel). However by doing this you no longer receive any emails about new threads, posts, PMs, etc, hence the change.

So from now on if you do want to receive the monthly newsletter (and I hope you do, as I spend hours in the cellar on the printing press) you will need to Opt-In.

You can do this by joining the new Newsletter Group in your User CP under Group Memberships. If you're not sure how to do this please follow these instructions.

• Go to your Control panel via the link in the green bar at the top of the page.
  
• Once in your User CP scroll down and on the left you will see a section "Miscellaneous"
  
• Click the link "Group Memberships"
  
• Now you will see two sections "Groups You Can Join" and "Groups You're a Member Of"
  
• Under the groups you can join you will see "Newsletter Group" on the right hand side click the link "Join Group"
  
• You will now see the link now says "Leave Group" this means you have now joined the Newsletter Group.
  
• You will also see this image in your profile if you are subscribed.
  

You will now get the Psoriasis Club Newsletter sent to your Email address on the first of each month, to stop receiving it just follow the above and click Leave Group.

It will be interesting to see how many of you do actually read it, and I will be able to tell this way if I'm wasting my time sending it out.

Also if you do have any suggestions for the newsletter please let me know.

Fred I have a suggestion. Can you put a link in the newsletter to the newbies that have posted an intro? I like to welcome them on board and as you know I cant get online so often these days and it would save me time finding their new threads.

Thanks Troll I like that idea. If newbies have taken the time to say hello then they deserve a proper welcome in the newsletter. I'll see what I can do for the next one.

OK this months newsletter has been sent and the log shows all requests were delivered, so if you have subscribed to the newsletter you should have found you're personalised copy in your Email Box. Please let me know if you didn't receive it or if there was any problems.

If you're wondering why you didn't get a newsletter this month, then you haven't been paying attention to announcements and the email sent to all members last month.

Thanks to those of you that have subscribed, but if you haven't then you don't know what you're missing. You could have missed out on some very important information or gossip that others will know about, but you don't!.

*The newsletter is sent out on the 1st of each month to members that have subscribed, see first post in this thread.

If you look at the first post in this thread it tells you how to subscribe.

You should then get one next month, if not let me know.
