My advice if the creams are not working is to ask you doctor for a referral to see a dermatologist who should have something to offer to clear your skin, tell your GP you are unhappy with having the disease on your face and it's affecting your self esteem. I would hope that those words should get you taken seriously.
I think over the years doctors have treated our skin and assumed that we were happy, and just keep dishing out creams
