I’ll have a go.
Atherosclerosis is a disease in which plaque builds up inside your arteries. (Subclinical relates to early stages.)
Carotid intima–media thickness (CIMT) is a measurement of the thickness of the innermost two layers of the arterial wall.
Epicardial fat thickness (EFT) is a measurement of the layer of fat around the heart.
So it’s basically saying that people with psoriasis have higher levels of fat, and a measurement of the Epicardial fat thickness (EFT) via an Echocardiogram (similar to ultrasound) could be a simple way of spotting an early problem with the arteries.
Well that’s my understanding, if anyone else has a better explanation please post here.
