If it is really severe this inverse psoriasis, and not treatable with creams, indeed take care not to thin the skin too much, then there is finally no way to avoid systemic treatment, that is pills.
There is one other option he can try in the mean time and that is a change of diet. My doctor states that the paleo diet, the diet human beings had before we grew the land and made bread, is the better diet.
So avoid, potatoes, bread, pasta, anything made of wheat, no roasted peanuts so no peanut butter . Eat many vegetables, salads, fish, meat, etc.
I don't know if it works, but there are people who are able to get rid of psoriasis only by diet. We have a section on this over here in the forum, see the natural treaments on this.
