Yes it will thin the skin and when you stop it usually will come back, but you can't stay on it for ever. OK so now he has seen a GP and tried the creams he needs to go back and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. This can sometimes be difficult but tell him to lay it on a bit and explain that it making his quality of life unbearable and he no longer wants to go out socialising.

Also get him to try Coconut Oil between his buttocks. But yes it's dermatology time.
