I'm Kit - also a brand new user of this forum. I've had Psoriasis flare-ups on and off since the early 1980's and have been on a variety of treatments. Since joining this Forum I've been able to learn more about P. than I've picked up from all the doctors and dermatologists that I've seen over the past few decades. There is a wealth of info here and a lot of experience. I hope that you link up with a fellow cosentyx user and obtain the reassurance and info that you are looking for. I'm currently just starting a regime of Fumaderm and am planning to chart my progress (or otherwise) with this drug here on the forum. I go onto the full strength Fumaderm tablets tomorrow. Interesting that you mentioned a hereditary factor. P. probably can be hereditary ?!? (Someone on the forum will probably let us know) but in my case I cannot "blame" either of my parents or grandparents as they were all clear when they were alive. I hope that I haven't passed it on to my 2 kids and their children. No sign of that yet!
