Hello Ralph to Psoriasis Club.
We had another new member asking about other Cosentyx users the other day. I'll point you to the answer I gave him: RE: Hello You are welcome to post on those threads and see if someone answers.
I can understand you being a bit concerned about the Bio's. But for me they have been the best thing that ever happened to me as they gave me back my life. You can find bad things about all treatments, even the natural rout that you were once using has it's dangers. But the modern treatments have undergone a huge amount of testing and you will be well monitored throughout the treatment.
Yes the bio's can work then suddenly stop working, but there are currently seven in use and another on the horizon. You can find out more about the current ones here: Biological Treatments For Psoriasis It's a matter of finding which one is best for you and we are all different. I've been on my current one Stelara for almost six years now, but the others before Stelara either stopped working or gave me a reaction. There is no one fit's all with any treatment and you just have to try. Should you get any problems with Cosentyx it will soon be picked up and you will be taken off it and I'm 99% sure it won't leave you with any lasting problems.
As for sharing your journey we encourage all our members to start a new thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis and update it as they go. It's a great way of having something to look back on and your input could help others.
Regards.
Fred.
