Much like everything else there will be some who feel it helps and others who don't. I think you're smart to research it before buying. From what I understand it's more healthy than using animal fats for cooking and can have some overall health benefits. I think anytime you're boosting your health you are certainly doing something positive. As a treatment for psoriasis by itself, my opinion is probably no. I use coconut oil for instance (cooking and applied like a cream), but I wouldn't ever tell anyone that it is going to clear up psoriasis... it just helps with the dryness and itching.
So yes, it can be beneficial to overall health but I don't know of any study that says the benefits are specifically for psoriasis sufferers. Of course anytime you are in better health it can improve your bodies defense when dealing with any disease.
