Yes a good organic coconut oil is a great moisturiser and it never causes my skin to burn in the sun. I get mine from the chemist and its solid and melts as you apply it and doesn't smell of coconut

I just found some at home!
I'll give it a go Smile'

I'll probably put it on before bed, and then use my normal moisturizer during the day

My tip would be to use Virgin and not refined.

Refined has the good stuff for skin removed and some cheap ones can have chemical residue left in them.

It does calm the skin and it is soothing  Thumb but unfortunately not everyone has the same experience
It’s well worth a try as it’s not expensive and will at worst do you no harm, and could help but do get a good quality unrefined one, there are lots available either from health food shops or online

I found it doesn't get rid of the redness but it does help sooth it.

Found another use for coconut oil (thank you Kat) I've been getting a lot of heat rash on my belly this past week and calamine wasn't helping.

But after asking in the members only boards for suggestions (thank you for all the varied answers) I decided to give Kat's suggestion a try and I rubbed in plenty of coconut oil before going to bed, and it worked.

I didn't wake up once finding I had been scratching my belly, and after my shower this morning it didn't look so red as it had. I will continue probably twice a day and see how it goes.
