I don't drink much, but regularly in the sense that I like a glass of wine with dinner. On parties never more than three, so I have never been drunk (sounds quite boring huh ).
I think it is a basic flaw of doctors to instruct you to stop smoking and drinking. There are no real thoughts behind it, they learned at school that smoking is bad, well I think it is, and drinking also, but I also think that they have never seen the statistics regarding the different diseases. Perhaps because there are none.
About psoriasis and stress.. I am pretty sure that with me the trigger was the stress, quite some years ago so I grew over it, but a few years of stress with me marked the beginning of my PsA.
You know Caroline I have more wondered about stress during my psoriasis like if I get stressed does it worsen. But your post made me think back as to when I first noticed signs of psoriasis (only the doctors first said it was dermatitis) In May of 2011 my mom passed away, also during that same few days my daughter's husband pretty much just up and left her, leaving her and three kids in a not so good situation financially (which of course we helped them but it was a very stressful time). And although I can't be certain since I didn't document the exact times, that does coincide with about the time I had the first signs of psoriasis. Interesting. I'll see if I can't go back through medical records and see when I first asked the doctor about what was going on.
