Today I have been for my three monthly hormone injection to prevent a reoccurrence of my prostate cancer, my blood test showed <0.01 which is virtually untraceable so I was happy to bare my stomach for the next injection.
Results from the colonoscopy shows a little residual damage caused by the earlier radio therapy I had. So no cause for concern there
My dose of Fumaderm remains the same at 4 x 120mg tablets a day ( 2 with breakfast and 2 with my evening meal) and to be honest I don't notice the side effects now just a bit of warming of the face
Blood levels are good Kidney and liver function good .... Lymphocyte count at 1.25 an increase from my last test ( normal between 1-3 ) so alls well with my health
I've had a great summer although the weather has been against me have been swimming in the sea with my grandkids, swimming in pools running around in shorts and teeshirts without the normal fears, that go with psoriasis
If anyone gets the chance push for fumaderm with you dermatologist, it's inexpensive and very effective.
The side effects are awful to start with but as your body gets used to it they should begin to subside
It's 4 years now I've been on it and apart from the time just after my prostate cancer I have been 99% clear. I can live with one tiny spot on my elbow to remind me.
