Hello Emma and
Don't worry you're not alone, and now you have found there are others who understand you will find it a lot easier to talk about it. First thing I would say is ask your doctor to refer you to a Dermatologist, some don't like to to early but it's your body and your right to get professional treatment.
Also talk to your parter about it and how you feel, the sooner you do this the sooner he will be able to help. maybe get him to come and have a look at the forum. He is welcome to join to if he wants
Stress is a huge factor in making psoriasis worse, and you sound like you have a good boss. so talk to her to, If she is concerned about you having depression then she will want to help you.
The best advice I would give is to accept you now have psoriasis, and although you won't like this you will probably have it for the rest of your life. However this does not mean you can't learn to live with it, or find something that will help you cope. you have made a start by coming and sharing, and if you can talk to your boss and your partner and get them on your side by educating them how to understand. That Wedding of you're s will be just fine. And I wouldn't mind a piece of cake
I'm sorry but I'm not one to advise you about your weight as I'm overweight myself, but I'm happy with it. These threads may help with your diet and psoriasis, though I make no promises as I can't stick to it myself: Watch out for the Scams! / The anti-inflamatory food pyramid / Vitamin D the natural way.
Get plenty of Sunshine, Keep positive and happy, Talk about it. and you will find a huge difference. It will take time but those 3 things are the best things for helping with psoriasis.
Have a good look around the forum, and ask away. don't forget you can also chill out in the Off Topic boards. I'm the sensible one in there.
Regards.
Fred.
