Humira Every Week & No Methotrexate

Good to read things are looking better on the increased Humira and the skin seems to be clearing well, I'm glad you dropped methotrexate as I found it a drug that made me nauseous to the extent that I would rather suffer the psoriasis than endure the methotrexate side effects
I don't know anything about Crohn's but hope the double dose also help's that for you

I feel the same way about Methotrexate.  I would rather suffer the Psoriasis than the side effects of that medicine.  Well, so long as the Psoriasis isn't too out of control.  I had recently reacted to a stressful couple of days with a great deal more itching.  But I'd still rather take this itching than the nausea.  That was not pleasant.  Nausea every single day not pleasant.

I’m glad you got away from it, horrible stuff. Do you ever feel like the docs get annoyed when you don’t get along with a drug or are they good about it?

I remember that we kept reasonably quiet when Forest started to use it some time ago, but we already knew that this had a high probability of happening. 

Your experience, even when expressed reasonably quietly, helped me know I could say NO to this medication.  You've also helped me come to realize that it's good to live my life as I can, try to keep stress low, and enjoy a glass of wine or the foods I had tried restricting early on to manage this through diet.  

TL, I didn't know what to expect when I saw my dermatologist earlier this month.  I quit MTX while she was on maternity leave.  She had pressed me to stay on it around three months into MTX, so I thought she may be disappointed, but she wasn't.  

She acted compassionately and understandingly, reviewed how to use the steroid ointments, and agreed to help me manage this way for as long as I was going to stay on Humira, which I may switch away from some day.  (Humira is to manage Crohn's.)

I have had arrogant, callous doctors in my life before, though.
