I have had one in my finger too, long time ago.
My doctor, well not my doctor but the doctor that I know personally, he is retired now and he was an internist who treated a lot of psorisispatients, states that the fluid that they take out will contain easy to see crystals of pyrovate. You only need a microscope for it.
The pyrovate is the easy signal that you have Psoriatic Arthritis.
Funny how I will let them shove stuff in without thinking about it, but when they say Methotrexate I'm out of there.
