Overdue update
September 28, 2021: Appointment at GP following hear attack.....told to stop taking Vimovo which is naproxen coated with something for the stomach
October 5, 2021: Appointment with Rheumatologist.....changed Simponi prescription back to four weeks instead of three
Probably got scared because of the heart attack
November 4, 2021: Appointment with Cardiologist....explained why I had to stop Vimovo (because naproxen can cause stomach ulcers and since I am now on blood thinners, bleeding in the stomach is not good). Unfortunately, at the time of the appointment, I hadn't realized that the leg muscle pains I was having was due to the statin medication
End of November: Pharmacist recommended I stop the statin for a few days to see if it really is that medication that is causing leg muscle pain. Did the test, it is the medication. He recommended taking it every second day
December 14, 2021: SURPRISE....received a call from the hospital. My GP had referred me to an Internist (doctor specialized in internal medicine) without my knowledge
December 17, 2021: Appointment with the Internist. He ordered some tests for lupus (which my rheumy never did, just told me I had it) so off to the vampires I went. I am surprised I didn't turn instantly anemic with the amount of blood they took. I want to know if I truly have lupus or not because I would stop the hydroxychloroquine if I don't. He says hydroxychloroquine is also good for the psoriasis and arthritis
I am getting confused.....I never read that anywhere
I take enough medication! He mentions increasing the MTX if I have lupus, which I don't want to do. I went back on a very low dose of MTX just to control the psoriasis as Simponi alone can't keep it under control. That being said, it works very well for the arthritis.
January 12, 2022: Follow up with Rheumatologist. Simponi now every three weeks again He probably forgot that he went back to four weeks last fall. Simponi really works well for my arthritis.
January 25, 2022: Follow up appointment with the Internist. Not all the blood tests were in. He said he's 99.9% sure that I have lupus but cannot confirm as I don't have the rash. Next appointment in four months.
I am collecting specialists and can open a pharmacy!
